On June 7, BigHit Music officially announced via fan communication platform Weverse that BTS members RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have completed their active-duty military service and are currently preparing for their full discharge.
“RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have completed their active-duty military service in the army and are preparing for their full discharge,” the agency shared.
In the same statement, BigHit Music emphasized that no official discharge events will be held. The agency cited overcrowding concerns and limited space at the military sites, urging fans not to visit the locations. “Discharge day involves many soldiers, and no official events are planned for the occasion. The venues are very limited in space, raising concerns about safety accidents due to overcrowding. For the safety of the artists and fans, we earnestly ask that you refrain from visiting the sites,” the agency stated.
BigHit also encouraged fans to send support virtually, highlighting the importance of safety. “We kindly request that you send your warm welcomes and encouragement to RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook from your hearts. We are always grateful for the support and unwavering love you show. Our agency will continue to do its utmost to support our artists.”
Discharge Dates for BTS Members
- RM and V will officially be discharged on June 10, 2025
- Jimin and Jungkook will follow on June 11, 2025
- Suga, who is serving as a social service worker due to health reasons, is expected to complete his service on June 21, 2025
BTS began fulfilling their military duties in 2022, with Jin being the first to enlist and complete his service in June 2024. J-Hope was discharged in October 2024, and with the upcoming discharge of the remaining members, BTS is now one step closer to reuniting as a full group.
